General Introduction

As a member unit of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the company was formerly a state-owned enterprise and was equitized in the year 2000.

Main business areas include:

  • Research, manufacturing, and assembly of postal, telecommunication, electrical, electronic, and IT equipment;

  • Installation, repair, maintenance, inspection, and operational support for telecommunication, electrical, electronic, and IT systems;

  • Technical consultancy, investment project development, and design appraisal for infrastructure projects;

  • Import and export of equipment, materials, spare parts, and components serving the company’s business activities;

  • Leasing of operational assets and telecommunication, electronic, and IT equipment;

  • Construction of telecommunication, electronic, IT, and power projects (up to 35KV);

  • Customer service and support via call center (excluding legal, financial, and healthcare consulting);

  • Direct and entrusted import-export of materials, equipment, spare parts, and machinery in fields such as postal services, telecommunications, broadcasting, electricity, electronics, consumer electronics, IT, transportation, industry, and construction, in accordance with current regulations.

History

Beginning

The Telecommunication Technical Services Joint Stock Company (TST) originated from the KASATI Hanoi Center, formerly a unit under the state-owned enterprise – the Scientific Production Enterprise for Information Equipment.
The main activities of the KASATI Center included installation, repair, maintenance, and operational support for telecommunication, electrical, electronic, and information technology systems

1990

The Center also carried out other activities such as constructing telecommunication, electrical, electronic, and IT infrastructure; conducting research; manufacturing and assembling postal, telecommunication, electrical, electronic, and IT equipment

1997

The Center also undertook additional activities such as technical consulting, implementation of investment projects, design and appraisal of infrastructure projects, technology transfer in the fields of telecommunications, electricity, electronics, and IT, as well as leasing of telecommunication equipment and products.

2000

According to Decision No. 232/2000/QĐ-TCCB dated March 10, 2000, issued by the Director General of the General Department of Post, the KASATI Hanoi Center—formerly a unit under the state-owned Scientific Production Enterprise for Information Equipment 2—was transformed into the Telecommunication Technical Services Joint Stock Company (TST).
TST became a joint stock company under the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), specializing in the fields of Electricity, Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology.
